Who This Is For

Is this kit compatible with all SRAM G2 levers?

This kit is designed for SRAM G2 Ultimate levers with Model ID DB-SPP-A0. It may not fit older G2 variants or other SRAM brake families. Check the model ID stamped on your lever body or consult SRAM compatibility notes before ordering.

Do I need to bleed the brakes after installing this kit?

In most cases no, the hydraulic circuit stays closed during a lever blade and hardware swap so a bleed isn't necessary. If you disconnect the hose, open the master cylinder, or notice spongy feel afterward, perform a standard SRAM bleed to purge air.

What tools are required to install the lever blade kit?

Basic tools like hex keys and a small punch or drift to remove the pivot pin are typically all you need. Depending on your lever version you may also need snap-ring pliers or a retaining clip tool. Follow SRAM service instructions and use a light grease on pivot surfaces.

Does the kit include the lever return spring and bearings?

Yes. The kit ships with the pushrod, spring, and sealed bearings along with the blade, pin, reach knob and cam so you get a complete pivot rebuild in one purchase.

Why choose a carbon blade over an alloy blade?

Carbon blades offer a higher stiffness-to-weight ratio and a direct feel at the lever, which many riders prefer for precise modulation and reduced flex under heavy braking. They also provide a high-end aesthetic. However, carbon can be more vulnerable to impact damage compared with aluminum.

Will this change my lever reach or feel permanently?

This kit restores factory reach adjust and lever geometry — it returns the lever to SRAM's original specification rather than changing it. Any permanent difference in feel usually comes from material choice and new bearings eliminating wear-induced play.
